I'm a bit puzzled......

I own a '07 E91 325i (with 704 M sport) with 85k miles and I need to do the front brakes (rotors + pads).
So to order the correct ones, I checked bmwfans.info and I found that I need 312mm rotors and 68mm pads.
I don't have the increased load option 100 which would require 330mm rotors with 64mm (?) pads.

To double check I took off a front wheel and measured the current rotor: 300mm (??).
A bit confused I took out the pads which measured 61mm. The marking on the pad is 'BMW saxid 160' and the numbers 902387 (inner pad) and 902388 (outer pad).

Now the question is which rotors and pads to order.
If I see the space between the rotor and the bracket for the caliper, I doubt if bigger rotors than the 300mm will fit.
I found 300mm rotors, but I cannot find matching pads. A (BMW) part number for the pads would be great.

And also thoughts about the rotor size. Do you think the 300mm ones are original? Or would they be installed on a budget by a previous owner?

It appears that EU 07' E91 (non-LCI) 325i came with 300X24 front rotors, P/N 34116854998, pads P/N 34116771868
It also seems that 2007 was a split year for rotors/breaks, P/N changed for cars build date around Sep 2007

My US 09' E91 LCI 328i came with 312X24.

Some owners choose to retrofit breaks (calipers/rotors/pads)
my E91 will get 348X30 upgrade next time it is due for brake job

It looks like I did the correct thing by trying to look up the part numbers online, but I was looking at the wrong place/website......
On realoem indeed I find correct information.

For now I will replace rotors and pads with original sized ones as the car is due for inspection and it will fail on the front rotors.
To upgrade to 312x24 or even 330x24 I will need to find matching calipers + carriers as well. May be in the future.

Then about the cars you drive: It is nice to see an American who only drives German cars.
My other cars are a '73 Corvette, a '78 Seville, a '86 Monte Carlo SS, a '97 Express conversion van and a '98 Grand Cherokee
(although I'm from the Netherlands which is the western neighbor of Germany)

I moved from Ukraine in late 2000's - I am American since then.

Back in Ukraine, in early 90's we had soviet cars only.
In late 90's, I was given a ride in 318i - it was true eye opening experience.

My first car in the US was 1989 Ford Fiesta.
It was an upgrade from my grandfather's 1976 Lada, but nothing like 318i.

My first BMW was 1986 E30 325es AT - it had amazing steering but was incredibly slow.
Later on I had 2000 c240 6MT - it was awesome, till date regret selling it.

My last surprise impression was E46 330d that I got to drive in Germany.
The power combined with fuel economy prompt me get BMW diesels later on.

Here the speed limits are capped at the rate where you can not fully experience German car potential (unless you tracking it).
The only stretch I can enjoy great E90/E91/E70 handling over mountain passes.

You just need the carriers. You can reuse your 300mm pads and calipers. I upgraded from 312 to 330mm rotors and it made quite the difference!

For now I will replace the rotors and pads with original sized parts.
I will keep an eye out for a used set of bigger carriers and calipers. Who knows for the future.
