Urgent help needed, broken blind plug while timing n52 engine

I am currently in the process of timing an n52 engine, I need to lock the crankshaft but the blind plastic plug that needs to be removed in order to insert the lock broke apart.

Need help I was thinking in pushing it forward

I dont think you have much choice. Eventually the flywheel or flex plate will saw it to pieces and it will be no more
