Mods for N55

Werd, it almost seems as if he wants to skip the n55 all together and start working on the 5 series engine...

Yet the n55 is in the x3,x5,1,3,5, etc...

If you have an N55 and would like to help out the community, let me know. CP-E is looking for a car to do some digitizing for a full roast of bolt-on goodies. Shop is located in Beltsville, MD. CP-E will certainly compensate the owner for their time.

Are you looking for just E90/92/93 N55's or any N55? Like an X5 for example

I really miss the sound of the MD on the car. Sounds way to quiet now.

well now you can use the N54 exhausts, or do a custom job and try and get back some of that sound you liked...

I've driven this one, like I've driven all my new cars, like i stole it... In all seriousness though, I' baby my car for the first 500 miles, and now I'm starting to put mine in sport mode and let her rip... as long as I stay below 4.5k rpms, which is really hard...

Anyone know if BMW is going to offer any kind of "performance kit" for the N55? Has the cooling been improved for the N55 to the point where the additional cooling parts for the N54 kit might not be needed? It'd be nice to be able to order an N55 car with a "performance kit" installed, realizing of course that it wouldn't be as radical as the aftermarket tunes.

Of course they are... It's just they are a little slow in updating the site or telling their dealers that it's available... over in the X6/X5 forum this was posted back in April:

It was said that the Powerkits would be released in June... Of course it's now August, and still nothing... So not holding my breath for anything, anytime soon.

I know this means nothing for you E9Xer's, but its something
