Was great fun today with George and Nick! I am glad I went. Wet first session, did not take much to slide around, but got dryer at each session, so the afternoon sessions were completely on the dry. Nick's cousin from Greece got a ride from an instructor.

Oh, I miss smoking soooo much! 5 months so far, but gosh was it an enjoyable habit

Congrats on giving it up. I am off that crap for 18 years. Hang in there

My car is so slow on track, I will be doing some data logging soon, but I suspect I have been running with barely any boost. The boost gauge (highjacked fuel indicator) shows it momentarily stabs 7psi then drops hard and can't maintain boost at full throttle in 3rd gear.

The worse is it's been like this for over a year, but is getting worse at each event. Only been troubling me that I can't keep up with ANY car on the straights, ha ha! I think at one point I gave 10 cars point bys on the back straight.

Either that or I am getting really sucky at track driving, which it very well could be.....in which case it would be time to retire.

Sure hoping it's the former

Ken you are too young to retire!

We will figure out what's going on with your car no worries!

I'm pushing 40 soon but as I said, 40 is the new 30!!! Lol

If you want the number to my mechanic who is a master BMW mechanic send me a pm.

He's got the full diagnostic computer that BMW has.

If you're turbo isn't working I have no idea why your computer wouldn't pop a fault code message. You tuned and the tune disables certain things from popping a code?

Hi Everyone! New to the board and glad to see others here from Montreal!

I just picked my new bimmer a week ago - 2009 335xi 4D sed alpine white - and couldn't be happier with the car (1st BM)!!!

I'm looking to tint the car and wanted to know if anyone had experience with either Lazer Auto or Dr. Tint for ref!

Cheers...

Thanks Nick! I know, I don't give up that easy and quickly, we'll know soon enough....

Thanks Anthony, unfortunately I can no longer browse e90post from work (new crappy rules, where those type of sites are blocked) anymore and just saw your message. I just booked an appointment today with Sébastien Rochon for next Thursday. But if for any reason he can't troubleshoot I'll PM you for your mechanic. Thanks again.

I know the tune erases some codes automatically, but shouldn't erase more serious codes. I know I had a "!" code on the cluster and I should have used George's OBD reader, but unfortunately I have reset error codes, without reading it's meaning, not too smart from my part.

Congrats on your purchase. An awesome car. I'm trying to recall the name of the place that I went to. It was on the corner of Hymus Boul and Des Sources in Dorval/Pointe Claire. They did a great job and was under 240$ for the premium tint. I'm sure some of the other members will have some names as well.

Thnx guys! BTW, I had a C350, IS and a TL (still) as my daily rides... but seriously, just blown away by this baby's performance!!! Discovering something new every day... can't wait to see how it plows in winter snow! LOL

On the tints, Dr. Tint has a special for the metalized film @ $225 (regular price $299)! But Lazer-Auto opens on w/e'z when I'm most available. So, was just curious if anyone had experienced either.

I'll try and find that place you mentioned and see what gives.

A little late but congrats and welcome. M3 Montreal's guys are pretty good (Paul did the windows on my S4) but between Dr.Tint or Laser auto I would go with Dr.Tint as he is very good.

Bah you should tell me stuff like this. I had, and still do, diag cables for BMW, so we can pretty quickly determine any issues. Go run a WOT on your car and see if it complains. Then call me and we can diagnose it Or you can even borrow te cable.

The tube does not erase ANY errors. Anything other than catalytic codes would grow a CEL. Even the crappy JB tunes do it (oh I'm setting myself up there haha)
