In addition with the HID kit for only $49.99 I have only $60.95 (+ shipping) in this beautiful kit. I opted for the 3000K look because I think it contrasts well against the AW but DDM has a variety of temps for bulbs. Enjoy and feel free to ask any questions.

PS - I tried the error cancelors that DDM offers and they are a no go. They do not work on our cars.

Everything layed out full view. This is the harness portion that plugs into bulb

Looking good on both fogs and heads. Where can I get those HID fog kit for $49.99? I wanna get them too. Any problem on melting the housing of your foglights? Many thanks to the tip on resistor too...

Bimmian Light

All I have to say is that Bimmian makes an EXCELLENT product! Everything is plug and play, their replacement lenses are top quality and best of all NO ERRORS! EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

I highly recommend purchasing from them, no more fooling around with Radio shack mis mosh capacitors that will rust and start failing on you down the road. Everything these guys sell has a plug and you just plug everything in!

I used the positive and negative connections from the OEM harness and plugged them into the after market harness. 2 minute jobs after doing the mounting setup.

I have to say, been using these for a few days now, NO errors, NO startup issues, NO buzzing, they come right on with the low beams and have a great turn on time! The HID Driving light replacements are very good quality and have a shutter, just like HID OEM headlights. That really gives these GREAT distance without blinding other drivers. YES, these cost a bit more, but it shows in quality and craftsmanship.

Yellow vs. White or Fog vs. Driving

Going back to the OP, and the responses on the yellow color. Is this the proper set up?
Yellow light is for fog lights because the driver gets less reflective light back in his eyes under fog conditions.
A white light is a driving light that lights up the the ground around the front of the car while driving.

Any thoughts? I went with Luminics yellow H11's on my 2008 E90.
Sure looks bright to me, and no errors because it is the same bulb, just a different color.

I think its not "getto" at all, I admire the fact someone has the knowledge and skills to add resistors and figure out a cheaper way to do things. Good Job on the installs.

I just think the yellow does not look right on our cars, personal preference. I also notice that these yellow installations are BLINDING to the camera so I can only imagine what that light is doing to oncoming traffic. That is why I replaced the housing with a shutter design so that when upgrading to a HID setup you take into account the extra brightness of the bulbs. The original housings were only engineered for halogen bulbs and when you increase the bulb lumens exponentially, you really need to take into account your beam spread with the factory setup.

As far as the capacitors go, you can pick up a factory manufactured capacitor and crimp on the appropriate connections. I am just not a big fan of soldering wires on a car. Solder tends to crack and break, especially with temperature changes and then you have a short and unless you do some major sealing, you are also exposing wires to the elements. My old man worked on the first lunar lander module and they used crimp connections for everything just because of that reasoning.

Kind of like the fog light switch on these cars, sure you can put a piece of Lego in to make the rear fog lights work, but if you were skimping for money when selecting a car, why not just buy a Scion or a Honda then mod it out. BMW is a name and a brand that spews class and quality and I just think going cheap on these cars is an insult to German Engineering.

Did you put the error correction modules in with the fog lights? Did you buy the package from Bimmian.com? They do sell error correctors for the fog lights. I have had ZERO problems with mine since installation, no errors, no flickering, nothing. Must be a common point of failure some where there.

Hey 335iredline or anybody I did the same thing with getting the ddm fog lights 35w and got the capacitor from Radio Shack and installed to them, but they don't work on my car I got a 07 e92 335i. They work for the first minute or so then the error appears on the iDrive and the light go off. The only different thing I did is I didn't solder them I just wrapped the capacitor wire around and used electrical tape. I will solder them but it don't think they work. Any ideas please let me know.
Thanks in advance ......

Like i said, I purchased a set from Bimmian.com with their error correctors and it works flawlessly. I think it may come down to you get what you pay for. The quality on their sets is very high.

That sounds great but I don’t feel like paying $200 for fog light hid kits. Good info tho…

Did you do anything different or did you just connect them. What size capacitors will you be using 4700 or 470? Radio Shack has different ones.

Same problem !!!
The cap. mod does not work in my 335i.
It's logic : When the cap is load the body computer detects the anomaly

Note:
The Fog light are fed by a PWM system

They are actually 159.00 on sale right now. Yes, a bit more than what you might find on ebay, but if they work without errors and without flickering, I think the extra money is worth it. The 6000k looks fantastic on the car and in combination with their replacement fog light lenses, it looks like the car should have been designed in my opinion.

Is it possible to code out the error check checking feature of the fog lights instead of using the capacitor?

Quality, like their HPFP?

Tinkering is fun for some people. Why pay $120+, or whatever the current price is, for a Euro light module when you can make a small modification for free? There is nothing wrong with that.
