Since I tried using the Holiday Inn shitty "Best Price Guarantee" the price for hotels.com has been changed. Most likely because I ended up telling HolidayInn that hotels.com price was cheaper than theres direct (with breakfast). They've somewhat pissed me off and I've wrote them a typical, "your a bunch of tossers, give me what I want or I'll go tell my mum (or the ASA)" email of which I expect them to reply "shove it up your ass, couldn't give a flying fuck who you are and who you plan on telling". With hindsight I should have just booked the hotels.com price with breaky and everyone else could have saved a tenner per night aswell. Instead I was consumed with selfishness and I wanted 1 night's stay for free.

Think I'm going to just book the Saturday night and get some breaky from a shop in Richmond. Maybe even Mc'D's, there are plenty of around (leeming spa services etc)

Once again, apologies for the slightly shitty situation here. But lets make one thing clear - once more, THANKS for booking the right hotel HOWEVER you do it. I really don't care who pays what and breakfast is a relatively minor concern, all Gav and I need is for everyone to be at the same hotel really!

To reiterate - none of this will have a negative impact upon the meet, which is the most important thing.

Dave, listen carefully as I shall say zis only once!

The hotel is NOT full, but it is full for 'normal' punters - remember we have 10 rooms booked to begin with for the BMW meet, with X number of people who have booked through the forum being deducted from that number.

SO, if you ring them you will be able to book a room from our allocation if you quote BMW meet or E90 etc as above.

As for the price? Well, remember it would appear that the hotels.com price of £59 INC breakfast appears to be a mistake and the correct price is £59 with no breakfast or £74 with. There is NOTHING stopping you from ringing up, quoting BMW meet etc and then asking for a room with no breakfast - you will then pay £59 probably but certainly no more than £64 per double room per night.

Hope that makes sense - if you book the hotel without breakfast you will get the best rate possible, without having the benefit of what appears to be a 'lucky' price which some people got - £59 inc breakfast.

I suspect I COULD have rang up and kicked up a fuss on behalf of all of us, but at this stage with people booking in a myriad of ways already, I don't think we have the collective weight to negotiate any further.

My main concern is now to keep everyone in the same place, so whatever you do, I'd prefer you book this hotel so that you can participate in the drinking shenanigans that I (in particular) am so looking forward to!

If everyone wants to chuck in a fiver, I will bring some travel BBQ's, some buns, some bacon, sausages and sauce (and some veggie stuff) and cook the shizzle out of something in the car park.
