wheels for 335xi
Hi, I have an 07 335xi. Currently I have some really messed up wheels that really just need to be replaced.
theyre 18x8 wheels and my tires are 225/40 in the front and 255/35 in the back. Theyre bf goodriches gforce comp2 tires if that helps any and theres no spacers I want to get a good set that these tires can fit on. Specially looking for arc 8s by apex but I dont know if theyd fit. Can I even put them on a 335xi? My car isnt lowered but I do have aftermarket shocks struts - Koni Special Active Shock Kit Yeah, I think thats all, just looking to see what wheels I can get. and if anyone has suggestion for winter wheels thatd be great too. |

For wheels, it's all about sizing.
As an example: In the winter I run this set up on my 2011 xi 18x8 et 40 - 225/40r18 snow tires Note I also run 10mm(F) / 20mm(R) spacers with this set up In the summer I run a staggered set up: 18x8.5 et 29 - 225/40 r18 18x9.5 et 23 - 255/35r18 So long story short, with those tires, it's really about just finding the wheel you want and ordering the right specs. Above are 2 examples to get you started. |

So either way, you’re saying I can put apex arc 8s on my 07 335xi, right? I’m not sure if ZR makes a difference after the tire size like mine are 225/45zr and 255/35zr
Would I need spacers? My tires are all season, but I’d rather keep those wheels on only in the summer. |

it's no different than a 335i, fitment wise, you just have to keep the tire diameter within 1% with the front being bigger, if any difference.
A lot of people run 18x9 et30 with 255 square and also the standard 225/255 staggered, etc.

It really depends on the wheel specs you are looking at. If you post what you are contemplating, myself or someone else can probably weigh in and tell you if they will fit.
Spacers, in most cases, are added for aesthetics not out of necessity. Whether or not you'll want them to achieve the look you are going for, again depends on the wheel specs. |

With a 225/40/18 front you need to run either a 255/35/18 or 225/40/18 rear. You *might* be able to get away with 245/35/18.

Ok good. Those sizes would ruin a transfer case

Indeed you could. 225 will be a bit stretched up front but will still work.

They’re a much needed improvement. Very smooth. I’d imagine they’d be even smoother with new undented/not bent wheels. |
