What Is This Connector For?

Cleaning out the car today and noticed the wayward optical (?) connector in the trunk, next to a box that I presume is part of the audio system. Anyone know what would normally have been plugged into? Satellite radio receiver? And what exactly is the box on the right for?

Satellite antenna would be my guess. Its on the side where the Sat module goes.
