Is that even possible?
So yesterday i bought two used tires from craigslist(1st mistake), i inspected the tires for any patches or visible damages,(but i didnt check the side of the tires).
Today i went to my tire shop to install them, so one was installed and no problems, while i was waiting to install the second one, the gentelmen that took care of my wheel called me and show me this! I was shocked, the gentelmen clearly blamed the guy that sold me the tire. So i was wondering what is the main reason of such damage. pothole?(tire was used) while he was mounting the tire he messed up something? I just sent a sms to the craigslist guy who of course denied that the wheel was damaged... |

side wall damage is usually caused by pot holes
or if this happens to a new tire when being installed, kiss the installer as he just saved your life and that of others |

Yup. Looks like he hit something in the road that damaged the sidewall. That tire is trashed.
