Nice to see I am not the only one who could not pull up previous destinations! Hopefully this gets fixed. My idrive settings were forgotton also, so I have to test my keys out to see if it's a key or idrive problem.

I wish I could get rid of the "gong" :-)

Not sure if someone mentioned this (this thread is getting lenghty) but are there any advancements when it comes to BT phone sync and txt msg's? Notification of txt msg's from phone, etc.?

I don't know, but it would be nice if the iDrive displayed text messages.

However, since it only allows a standard email (via the Phones mail app), I'm assuming we still can't use it to mail to MyInfo, as you apparently need to have access to Google's custom send screen where you identify the car maker, etc.

If there were a way to email your car an address directly, instead of using that send window in GoogleMaps, it might be possible.

You are correct - no way in iPhone 2.2 to select to send to a BMW. Which means that we can kiss goodbye the chance that this would ever be added. No way that Apple is going to spend resources to add that functionality IMHO, given all the other shortfalls they need to address in the phone....

Supposedly it will display a SMS notification icon in the top bar, but not the message itself......

As far as I know, the business nav is still based on the old (i.e., pre MY2009) iDrive system. That means no maps, no harddisk and no high definition screen. Not sure if it's going to change for MY2010, though.
