I guess the person that collects the money and buys the DVD will have to make the torrent file and upload it.

I've used both Navteq (my BMW) and TeleAtlas (on a TomTom GPS) and I can tell you that in my part of the world (Canada, specifically Alberta) the Navteq maps are more accurate especially if you get out of the city. That being said my 2009.1 Navteq maps are missing some new major roads and a couple subdivisions near where I live so I can't wait for the update. Has anyone actually seen this alleged new disk for <2009 iDrives.

I hope the 2010 version will fit on a single layer DVD. I never could get the dual layers to work on my car.

Is there a way to just make sure those are always on the map regardless of anything else? I don't want them to disappear just because I was looking for restaurants earlier. |

Well in preparation of hopefully a torrent coming next week I'm going to order some Dual Layer discs. Does anyone know if there are certain discs that work with our systems? Brand name? Anyone have experience with DL discs in 2006s? I have the 2009 disc burned on single layer & haven't had a problem, I just want to be ready to burn the 2010 disc asap and have it work lol
Would these be a good option? Dual Layer 5 Pack for $13 |

I have an '06 and needed to use a Dual Layer disk for the 2009.1 version. It works with no problems. I used a Verbatim 2.4x DVD+R DL. I have to believe just about any brand of disk would work just fine.

Not exactly, single layer Verbatim DVD-R didn't work for me with the 09 disk. TDK DVD+R did.
