Crabbing/lurching when braking to a stop
Seems my trans wants to lurch forward when I come to a full stop. It's especially noticeable if I stop quickly to a full stop. Almost seems as if the torque converter isn't unlocking until the last second. It's not causing huge issues, but it seems different than before...never remember feeling this subtle lurching when I come to a full stop. No CELs and no other driveability issues. Any ideas?

what's your mileage? since you have a ZF box, i would definitely recommend a fluid service if you are nearing 60k (miles) the lurching you are feeling is likely the 3-2 and 2-1 downshift when slowing down. mine smoothed out ALOT after changing the fluid.
be sure to change oil pan (filter) as well. good luck |

There is a "soft stop" feature where the car will let up the brakes a little right before the car stops to....soften the stop.
