Could someone either tell me or point me to a thread which explains how to change the coolant?

Also, what is the best coolant to use?

I need to replace the main thermostat and egr thermostat; the coolant needs changing anyway so I thought I’d drain the coolant first and then change the stats and then fill up with new coolant. Maybe a little less messy? This is on a 2006 330D auto 2006.

Any help is appreciated!
