2A82 VANOS code - Comes back even after replacement
I had the common 2A82 code pop up for a jammed inlet VANOS solenoid, after replacement of both inlet and outlet solenoids the code came back within about 10 miles. The solenoids are made by Gates if that matters.
Any ideas? I did see the option to reset VANOS adaptations in MHD but I didn't do that, think that's why?

adaptation is not reqd for code but makes sense to do since hardware changed.
When i replaced mine with ones from autozone (made in germany and had bmw logo lol), codes gone.

I would reset adaptations and see if it comes back. If it does, I would get Bmw branded solenoids to rule that out. If it comes back after that, you can start looking at replacing your cam bearing ledge.
