Latest overall summary (800 number):

1/27: Placed deposit
1/31: "Your vehicle is scheduled for production with an estimated completion date of 02/07/08"
2/6: "Your vehicle is in the paint shop and is scheduled to be completed on 02/07/08"
2/9: "Your vehicle is being transported to the port of exit"
2/12: "Your vehicle is at the port of exit waiting for a shipping vessel"

I guess all of these are possibilities for shipping from http://www.dbh.de/index.php?id=151&L=0

Here is to hoping I can make it onto the TORONTO. That might be a tight turn around though since I don't pick it up until the 23rd.

Congrats!

Anyone picking up at the Performance Center? I know a lot of you are West Coast but thought I would ask?

I believe the ships that I listed in my last post (including the TORONTO) are travelling from Bremerhaven, Germany to Port Hueneme, CA for us west coast buyers. I used the following thread to find out how to get this tracking info:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=828

Is there a possibility that these ships drop off cars on both coasts?

I don't quite understand your question. The dealer told me it takes about 7 days to build a car, so it would seem that your car started production about a day after your order was placed. Seems plausible, if your dealer had a production allocation that entered production on the 8th or so.

put that crack down

jkjk

but basically you ordered on 7th, 8 days later your car is produced, then it will be sitting at port for a few days, then it's gonna swim to ya!

now, rocket science on the other hand dictates that if you order your car after the end of the production date then you are missing something

Do you at least have a production order number? My sales agent gave me one after I placed the deposit.

Mantis,

You are on a tight turnaround my friend. If it's not built until the mid of Feb and it takes 6 weeks to get to you it's going to have to swim fast to make it by the end of March.

Hey guys, I placed a deposit for a 328 coupe last week and the dealership gave me the production number today and told me it is scheduled for week 9 production date. Does anyone know what week starting this would be on the Calander? Its kind of confusing because of where the weeks begin on the calender at the beginning of the year. If anyone know for sure what week this correlates to I would apprreciate you assistance. Thanks,

This is a great place, its kind of like a support group to get us through the agonizing wait for our cars. Its worse than waiting for Christmas as a child.

Also, I forgot to ask this question. Is the Munich plant the only plant the 3 series coupes are made? I have searched the internet and cannot find the answer. Thanks everyone.
