Progress towards track days

While waiting for Florence to make her mind up I went to work on the car to finish it up for its first track day coming up in October. I hope everybody made it out alright from the hurricane.

So far this weekend:

1. Swapped M3 front suspension and front Brembo calipers
2. Installed a Trackspecmotorsports hood vent
3. Installed rear wing
4. Removed rear control arms, need to swap in the M3 ones
5. Swapped in M3 fenders
6. Gutted trunk
7. Removed rear portion of the carpet and installed a rollbar

Still need to swap in the rear brakes, the rear arms so that I can use the rear M3 suspension that I have. Need to take the fenders and front bumper to get them re wrapped in the subtle green that you see. Cover the trunk hole.

Then wheels will go on, drive to work to modify the exhaust, install oil cooler, flash the transmission, flush brake fluid, change oil, install JB4, fit splitter and rear diffuser, and lastly, install the race seats and all their supporting cast.

I'll keep updating this saga as things gets done. Enjoy

This is awesome, it looks like a N54 in there?? Good luck. Please let us now how you keep it cool, I am going to presume you put in a Turner radiator... Edit. just noticed it's an auto too. I hope you can get by the heat issue.

Me too, I do have a plan to keep it cool but I want to see how much I can get away with, so I went with the heat extraction way for now. I do have a radiator, and additional oil cooler waiting for their time to step up.
I'll be using AIM solo for data logging, so it should provide temp stuff needed to make smart decisions.

The tag I had in hand to drive the car around, from my previous track car, need a clever tag for this one now.
