Front seat was good. I’m 6 foot and rear headroom was abysmal. Although who cares about rear occupants haha
Yeah rear seats in coupes are wasted
For most, yeah. I use mine a lot. Much more than I thought I would.

Just an update to this. I think I found the fault with this TCU. I don't know exactly what the surface mount component is but one of the larger ones has clearly come away from the board and is only held in place by the polymer coating. That might explain the intermittent nature of the fault described

This thread was an amazing read.
I have a 2009 e92 335i DCT.
I'm not having the same issues. But enjoyed the read and it was eye opening. Have save the bookmark for future reading again.

This is interesting news. Fixable then I assume?

Some of the experience In this thread between a few guys (Aus335iguy/Hoper/bloke with parts shop that i cant remember his name)
Is unbelieveable. Wish we had your expertise and knowledge here in South Africa. My mechanic (now ex mechanic) has successfully turned my mint 335i e92 into something that's far cry from mint.
So dealing with issues as I go. And replacing parts that are now missing that initially were not.

At the end of it all. @Aaron. Sorry you had such an expensive and time consuming issue, never a good experience mate.

Thats correct Sir.

Im not having the exact same issue, but my issue is the following:
when Full Throttle, my car drives and boost fine, till a point at about 5000rpm, then cuts throttle and sounds like dumping boost obviously.

I have a leaking Valve Cover and DCT oilpan,
i read a thread recently, and another contact i was speaking to said that his DCT oilpan also leaks, and when fluid gets low his car also does the same throttle cut. like the throttle shuts down, feels like you touching the brakes.

anyway, i am going to order a Oilpan and replace it. have you ever come across this issue? does the theory seem sound?

Apologies for posting on this thread, if i need to start my own thread i can do so?

THere is more knowledge here and on some other sites than whats available in South Africa i must be honest.

Yeah I'd recommend starting a thread in the general section. Post up a log of what's happening. It doesn't sound DCT related to me.
