Got an email from Swift Springs.

Here is what they stated:

"We actually just released the 335I springs last week.

The part number you are looking for is
4X905R.

The springs lower the vehicle about 1" in the front and about .8 in the rear.

The spring rates you are looking at is 4kg (224lbs) up front and then 11kg(614lbs) in the rear.

Thank you for looking into our springs!"

Smart rates. I get 1.46 and 1.75 Hz frequencies front and rear, and a shift of 1.8% towards more oversteer than stock ZSP, ignoring camber changes. Should be a great street setup with the right dampers!

That's where I'd start. Those spring rates sound good. Add e36 m3 front and e85 z4 rear bumpstops and it should be a nice spring/shock combo

Agreed. Another nice option are HPA's Koni whites which are fully externally adjustable in the rear from the top. Could also get Rogue Engineering adjuster extenders for a quick street to track damping adjustment. At 224 lbs up front, you'd only need the whites in back (save $$).

Just an idea for those who are looking down this path.

I am looking at a coil over or spring/shock combo and the many of the coil overs are too low for me, i.e. Bilstein PSS10. I am looking at the BMW Performance Suspension but now interested in Swift Springs and Koni Yellows with Rogue adjustment extenders as on option.

This is for a stock 2007 e90 335i Sedan w/ Sport Suspension. Any ideas on how these suspensions will match with M3 control arms and front/rear which I would do at the same time. Not getting LSD.

Currently not fond of the sport suspensions float factor but don't want to feel every single imperfection in the road either.

Some people would chime in and say the the KW Street Comfort might be your answer. Not too many are using them because most want to lower the car quite a bit. You can set the height at standard sport suspension heights (or lower), they have stiffer progressive rate springs and dampers that apparently match the spring rates exactly. I am told that the ride and handling are better than stock sport suspension.
Probably my next purchase after I splurge for new Michelin tires pretty soon.

The street comforts use linear springs, not progressive. That's what makes them behave better than their "variant" counterparts.


As for the Koni setup, i think it would be an excellent choice along with m3 components. Keep in mind switching to those harder bushings will introduce slightly firmer impact response than stock, but you get used to it in a day, IMO.

I just got my Koni Yellows and I should have have these Swift springs within a week. I will post a review. My suspension is full M3 as well.

I think I am leaning hard toward these Swift Spec R with Koni Yellows and adjustment extensions with M3 bits. How much lower will my car be than the stock sport suspension?

Also what are the must have M3 bits with this set-up and what can be deemed optional. Need to be a bit practical about the budget.

Swift Spec-R for the 335i will lower the car 1" up front and 0.8" in the rear.

There is no must have M3 bits along with the Swift, but the M3 front control arms are the best bang for your money.

Would you stop there or are there other M3 pieces to add since the car is apart already. M3 sway bar or anything in the rear? Don't want to go back to the drawing board later.
