Hey guys,

Have you thought about tackling it yourself and purchasing some carbon fibre wrap from Smog Car Wraps in Leichhardt next door to Zen Garage. It really is straight forward if you know how to take of your interior trims as I'm sure there is a DIY out there on how to do it.

A few weeks ago my mate wrapped his interior trim with the stuff from Smog Car Wraps and what can I say it really has transformed his interior and given it a different feel to the car and made that touch more sporty IMO. All you have to buy is a roll which cost him $22 and a squeegy to even out the creases or lines when laying it down. If you want I might be able to speak to him and he might give you guys a hand at a small expense because the finish on his is flawless that I'm going to wrap my interior trims next. FYI he worked for BMW in the UK for several years and knows his stuff. Hit me up if your keen and I will speak to him. If you want to see some photos I'm happy to post them up.

To get a firm price for this group buy the guys would like someone to drop by for measurements, can anyone do this on behalf of us guys?

Smog wraps (Zen Garage sun contract out to them for vinyl wrapping) will be doing the work and are located at:

99 MOORE St LEICHHARDT

Can you please PM me so I can set this up for everyone?

Thanks again for participating

What's the guesstimate for a window trim wrap (in gloss black)? Thinking about tackling the job myself, but if it's cheap enough I'll get on board.

OK guys we now have some prices (huge thanks to Ben for taking his car to them for a quote) unfortunately they aren't in the ball park as far as I'm concerned!

Window Trim =$250
Interior Trim =$450
Mirrors= $150
Taillights tinted= $150 per side/$300

I shall contact them and try to negotiate this price, but it looks like we may have to explore someone else to install this for us.

Due to price or having changed your mind?

I'm wanting to get the trim done for $150 and interior for $250-300.

I was surprised when somg told me the price on G/B wrap. Because $250 for window wrap? And $150 for light tint? That's.....unbelievable over price. If he can do our window trim below $150, and interior trim below $300, i think that's reasonable. Any think over the price, and that's NO GO for me. I try contact one of my friend who works at vinyl wrap shop, see if they can do us a better deal. will let you know when he get back to me.

If you want to benchmark against other prices, I spent $380 for my roof and shark fin in gloss black and took around 4hrs. Also got quoted $220 for the diffuser. All with 3M vinyl

Response back from Smog:

Hi Shane ,
quote is based on premium 3M 1080 series vinyl which will cost us $160/car. There are cheaper vinyl options available for us. I will check prices and will let you know if we can meet your budget.Thank you.
