Nope, you've got to remove the valve cover to get the to the shaft sensor.

I just want to change the gasket, not the sensor. The DIY on changing the sensor calls for installing the new gasket after the valve cover is bolted in place, so why cant I just pull out the old gasket and press in the new one? I am sure I can handle removing the valve cover if needed but seems to be a PITA so would like to avoid that if possible. Thanks

I remember watching this video when i was having my eccentric sensor problem, looks like if you're just changing the seal you can just unplug it and replace. But if your seals bad most likely your sensor is too.

Don't mean to bring this from the deal. Tackling this myself. Any suggestions and recommendations not to break the seal and having to do a VCG job? Thanks
