.......Finally - LUX Rings - Final Product White and Hyper Colors
Well, instead of posting pics last night i decided to go for a comedy show and beers, so here are the pictures i promised Finally. I must say - the Lux rings look MUCH BETTER in person compared to these pics. Even in bright daylight they are so noticable. - - - 2 Colors are availabe as of now, but custom orders can be taken for almost Any color out there. 2 colors offered are- - White, and Hyper. White is obviously white, about 5000k - 6000k in color. Hyper is virtually the same color as PMB HyperWhite so just look at the pics to see the colors. I do not have many pic of the white, the product wasnt ready to take pictures last night, but i will have pics tonight or tomorrow of Both of them, at night none the less. --Update - The Light source is rated to last approx 50,000 Hours, or over 5 years. I'm not saying for sure that is how long they are going to last, because i dont have 5 years to test these. ------- Ordering... Next week i will start to take orders. These units are built on a one by one basis so they do take time. Ordering the parts is slow so therefor order time to ship time i'm guessing will be about 2 weeks. Parts are NOT cheep for these hense the cost for these. ------ Pricing.... Prices will start at $120 Shipped to your door. this is for 1 complete set ( 2 Lux rings units). In the Package will be the units, Instructions, and a small disclaimer. All necessary hardware is included and the unit is simply plug and play, no work or custom building is necessary. I think that is all for now - More pictures at night will come soon though. If you have any questions or comments i'm open for everything. Thanks everyone for being supportive NOTE - - - - - - All pictures are comparing PMB ( LEFT) VS. LUX ( RIGHT) Also - All these pics are of HYPER... Last edited by mds82; 05-23-2006 at 10:00 PM.. |

Comare it to Brex??? i would Love to, except I dont know anyone in New England that has Brex. If anyone in CT, NY, NJ has brex then i would meet up with them in a heart beat to compare my LUX Rings. I will say though, i have NO DOUBT at all that LUX rings are as bright if not Brighter then Brex. I've dont a lot of reasearch and am sure i did all the math right, and LUX Rings are brighter.

for a great effort!
one concern of mine is that the rings now look really bright, almost too bright that it'll blend in with the HIDs? i.e. when you turn on your headlights you don't get the separation between the angels and the HIDs, can you take pics of the LUX with the headlights on? thanks

The left headlight looks amazing. The one on the right is too bright for me.

They look much more dull in real life... My PMB's are barely noticeable during the day... They look great at night though... This will be a great product... |

He has to replace the whole lighting unit (I do believe) in order to make it work. Its not the same as the PMB kit where it is a replacement piece... If you look at www.angelibright.com, they have a similar product that costs $350 |

Pricing i feel is not bad at all. If you knew what i had to use to make these, the price tag for all the parts alone is a lot. needless to say the effort to design then, custom build each of them, test them, etc etc. Its not some little project. PMB is an easy kit hense the price. Also - Longtran is still my inspiration for these because of all his work with PMB.
As for what canucklion said "" one concern of mine is that the rings now look really bright, almost too bright that it'll blend in with the HIDs? i.e. when you turn on your headlights you don't get the separation between the angels and the HIDs, can you take pics of the LUX with the headlights on? thanks "" ----- There are 2 pictures with the headlight on already, the bottom 2. Yes they are very bright, but not too bright. In bright daylight they are visable, where as my PMB are not at all. There is still quite a difference between the xenon light and the rings, but the rings are simply more visable and more noticable. |
