Hi guys

I'm a member of BMW CCA (Boston Chapter). I was recently traveling through Ottawa when I needed some emergency brake work on my 1M (after a particularly engaging track day!!!!). Both BMW dealerships in Ottawa didn't have brake pads that would fit my car and told me that they had to order them from Toronto. Thus, I had no way to get home to Boston for three days.

The Ottawa Chapter website had a link to Duss Brothers who not only had the M brake parts, they fit me in with zero notice and did a superb job replacing the pads! The technician even let me watch and talked me through the whole process so I can change my own pads after my next track day.

I would recommend Duss Brothers to everyone for their BMW needs! Thank you.

Hey guys, new BMW owner here. I just started looking into the wealth of knowledge on everything BMW related here on this site. Don't mind saying WTF! I am overwhelmed. Looking to step into the modding world very slowly...and I hope I can ask you guys for advice.

Hi all!

In the Ottawa region, picked up a 04 E46 M3 this spring, best decision of my life.

I received a winter package with the purchase of the car but i will definatly NOT drive the M3 this winter so they are for sale, almost brand new, were purchased last year.

I've always had my BMW's serviced at Otto's. I've always had good experiences with them but never anything exceptional.

Are there any other third party shops that you guys would recommend to have a BMW serviced?

If you are out West, or don't mind driving out there, there is a shop called Autovation in Stittsville. The owner is a BMW enthusiast and is super honest and knowledgeable.

I had my first service done at Elite and nothing but good things I have to say about them, it was a warranty job though. Took care of the rental he called me and kept me updated with the parts shipping/receiving and even the day before he called me to let me know that he was receiving the parts next day and car would be ready no later that 2PM. If its a warranty job I would stay away form any service bay other than the dealership.

Anybody has experience with work done at other places while your vehicle is still under warranty???

If you are in the orleans area avoid St Joseph in between st peter and st gabriel in front of the ministry of transportation.. Sinkhole!!
