I am getting one.
I work for a Mobile Billing company. I agree that here in Canada we are paying more for the Plans and Phone. Aren't we paying more for the BMW's? Did we wait to to get our cars? It is funny when people say yeah Rogers is ripping us off. Rogers didn't put a gun on our head and asked us to buy Iphone. They are here to make money and they will do what ever they can do to get the money.
Btw, I don't work for Rogers. My service is not with Rogers at this time.

My brother has had one for quite some time now.. never really liked it. I will keep my Curve, and probably get the Bold when it comes out..

the price of the phone is very nice but the plan options suck.

ATT so nicely raised the bottom line plan to 69.00 for 450mins with NO sms messages. all iphone plans have no SMS messaging now thats extra. id rather pay old phone price and same plan pricing... still debating to move from my t-mobile curve.

Mine's unlocked... on Fido... Don't use Edge network just Wifi when available and just adore the phone. Having one gadget to store schedule, agenda, name & numbers, tons of music.. and work properly as a phone... + the added bonus of having WiFi sometimes... is great. Plug it in my car for the music... it's great.

Will not be getting the new one yet. This one works fine.. waiting for an unlimited data plan (must be extremely patient, i guess)

will probably also get the BB Bold when it's out and have the company pay for that one ...

No one is saying not to buy one. But not getting it on launch day could serve as a positive message to Rogers that their plans suck. In the end we all benefit if they lower the prices, so by waiting even a few days you are actually helping everybody including yourself

Imagine if their launch day flops.. They would have to rethink their prices, but if people buy the phones and the plans they will have no reason to lower their prices. The consumers have the power, only if we use it.

I don't think its unreasonable to ask everybody who is set on buying one to wait a few days. It might even save you some hassle and time as there will be no lines... Just asking you and all the guys that are planning on getting one to think about it.

I didn't say that you said not to buy one. Waiting to buy one is not going to change any thing my friend. I am sure Rogers knows that they have landed a Cash cow. Yes Consumer has the power also It is Rogers who has the right to decide the price.

The only thing they improved on the iphone is the 3G speeds and the casing. Other than that it still has the same 2mp camera no flash or video recording. Same screen resolution same interface as the old iphone. I'm waiting for my Nokia E71 to arrive.

rogers data plans are a total disaster its a rip off times 20 000.

minimum monthly payment is close to 100 Bucks including everythinhg think about it and its even not unlimited data.
