Donuts Power steering
can doing donuts and sliding around the car mess up your power steering pump? Heard a groaning sound when i made a hard left turn at a low speed and pressed the throttle. The back end didnt kick out but in understeered and something felt like it was grinding. This was with stock rims and tire sizes.

Probably over heated the fluid. Once you eased up on it the fluid cooled and is ok again. Overall, probably need to change it, so you've been driving the past 5 months with fluid that could be doing slow damage to your pump and rack.

Had similar issue with mine. Did donuts for like 2 minute straight and power steering was fully dead. Let it cool down and came back.
But yeah full lock donuts is pretty hard on the oum6p I guess, started doing them without not as much full lock and it's better. |

Are you implying they can’t? Because it doesn’t take a whole ton of horsepower to do them lol... the fact that you used that as an insult against 328i owners just makes you look kinda stupid because they can just fine lol. I guess a trim level or 2 above other people makes you a god or something lol

Dude, I love the N52 cars, and I found it humourous. Plus, at best he has an open diff, and 99% chance it's an automatic - so how exactly you can beat it hard enough to do doughnuts long enough that your power steering overheats, is anyone's guess.
Impressive? Maybe. Hi-friggin-larius? Definitely! |

Having driven all of those cars your say, the e90 is in a completely different league. Only thing there that's maybe as good is the infiniti because of the larger engine. Nothing to envy from those, leather interior Camry with a v6 is putting lipstick on a pig

Yeahh. I felt left out but it was cool cuz my freind had a x3. Loved bmw and my mom had a zhp and i use to work there. The e90 beats em everywhere and even in looks. driving over Railroad tracks i redline my car and get air time while my freinds and classmates had to drive like a retard over em. full lock and dodging potholes. In the canyons of socal the e90 shines and even on the highway. i can stay high speeds way more stable than majority of lexus and infinitis
