2007 335i coupe p1553 p1554?

Hi I have a 2007 335i coupe, car gets in limp mode and has the p1554 p1553 codes on and can't clear them up Any suggestions? Thinking maybe vanos or my timing is off but engine works great Let me know what you think Kind regards Dimitris

Yup Vanos would be the first step.
Clean and swap them.

Cleaned them swapped them and test them and they work but still same coded

Unless previous owner changed them and never calibrated them I’m Thinking my timing but engine starts easy even when car hot and revs pretty good
