Such watches are called homages . Pagani Design makes such watches like that .Well, I think it's a wiser idea to buy those than replica watches .
Even such legit watch manufacturers derive such designs clues from Rolex this is why I don't feel bad about buying a homage watch or buyers remorse later

As soon as I get back to flight status (June-ish, I hope and pray), THAT will be my first purchase-- I've already talked to my AD.

I figure it'll be my "I survived something that should have killed me" watch.

R.

PS: I'm terribly jealous-- the 40 Explorer just looks.... right. I was actually looking at a demo piece today at the AD.

I love it. I wanted a 39 and it got discontinued so when this came out I got on the list. My local AD was playing games so I got on another list recommended by a friend. 5 weeks later I had it.
Now let’s hope I get my root beer.

Just make sure you buy for the right reasons and it sounds like you are!

Latest piece I added to my collection today. Won’t be for everyone but I absolutely love it. This one will be a longer term keeper for sure. It’s the Heuer 01 Limited Edition Red Devils Manchester United version. I had the regular Heuer 01 but got rid of it as it needed a service. Got an opportunity to get into this, couldn’t say no.

That isn't an homage mate, it's a cheap $90 knockoff plain and simple.

Tag has made several Special Edition watches over the years and they are definitely collectibles. This one is beautiful to look at and if it was honoring Liverpool I would want to own one.

Haha that’s fair enough. Honestly, above all I just loved the way the watch looked and the Man United thing is just the icing on the cake. I lived in the UK for several years for school during the first decade in 2000’s and Man United was my team. They were also in their peak with Ferguson/Rooney/Ronaldo. Ever since moving back in 2009 I don’t follow football (soccer) as much but they’d still be my team regardless of them not being as good anymore. Haha.

Today I am rocking something that celebrates my actual true love, I.e., motorsports, particularly F1 and the best street track out there. I have it on my custom made strap that I got for it currently.

The Heuer Monaco has a special place in my heart. I purchased this CS2111 beauty while on vacation in Paris in 1999. It is still one of my favorite watches to wear!

Great to see so many Monaco fans on here! Thst Gulf edition is awesome and that 1999 Monaco shows it’s been loved and that’s awesome you’ve had it for this long. I feel the Monaco and Speedy are 2 watches in my collection of several pieces that I will never get rid of as they stand for much more than just being a timepiece. I love the story behind them.
