material cost about $30 mentioned aboved. Figure labour cost in the $40 range sounds reasonable, it'll take 1 person maybe 2 hrs? = $20/hr. Places like Shino can do a car's roof in 2 hrs.
$70 sounds more reasonable, the Americans are getting it done for $50, take into the account the rip off Canadian rate then $70 sounds about right. |

Just spoke to Mike at Shinzo. He said the lowest they can go is $180 per car (that includes the vinyl and labour, which he priced out at 65/hour for the 2-hour job with TWO PEOPLE WORKING ON THE CAR!).
He said $180/car is the lowest he can go regardless of how many cars we get in on the group buy b/c its labour intensive. He said there is no chance of us getting it for $100 or $120 a car from Shinzo. Alternatively, if you want to buy the vinyl, its between 30-40 bucks (depending on whether you want a big piece so you have a continuous look versus smaller strips, which will cover the trim, but wont give you the seamless look). this almost makes me want to try it myself, master it, and then charge you guys 100 bucks to get it done. lol.

Fellas,
for all of those who have been raping my inbox about the vinyl wrap. I figured were all family here. So i wanted to do a group meet, and I will do it for free. Just need you guys to cover the cost of the vinyl. I will get a cost for both Glossy and Matte vinyl. Please start a list with the following info: Model of Car: IE: E90 or E92 Choice of Vinly IE: Gloss or Matte When it gets nice outside we can set up a meet and i can do it for you guys. It doesnt take more then 30-40 Mins a side.
