N54 Turbo Drain Gaskets STILL Leaking

Long story short, my brother replaced his turbos on his 335i about a year ago and they were leaking from the oil drain gaskets. He replaced them, still leaking. I finally got under there and did it about a month ago, thinking he must have double gasket-ed it, or the surface wasn't prepped. Believe it or not, everything was fine. I cleaned things up as well as I could, but as of now, the rear gasket is STILL leaking. I haven't checked the front turbo yet, but the rear is definitely wet.

Has anybody else had issues with this? These turbos are Pure 600s (as far as I know, there were no name plates on them or anything) and while they were used, they were in very good condition. I didn't see any imperfections in the surfaces.
