Stalled in park, 2BF4, 2BEA, 2BC0, 2C42
2011 335i vert. Been having issues with rough idle while foot is on the brake and in Drive, and occasional start/stall/ then starting again and running fine.
Yesterday, the car stalled about 30-60 seconds after starting [cold]. Codes 2BF2 [Rail Pressure Sensor, plausibility, Too High before engine start], 2BEA and 2BC0 are pretty much the same [Mixture Control, Fuel Mix too Lean, and too lean/Large Deviation] started the car again and it began dying whenever the car reached a stop or really low rpm. The next day, the car stalled on cold start [45-60 secs after start] and struggled to stay running. Drove it about 100 yards when it died for good. I had noticed my STFT's were reaching +25-30% and LTFT's between +7-12% before it died and I had to push the car back into my driveway. I'm thinking rail pressure sensor, HPFP, or >O2 sensor precat. Hopefully the community can steer me in the right direction. LOG OF COLD START AND STALL https://datazap.me/u/jwallace410/sta...2&mark=104-129 Id rather have some direction rather than throwing parts at the problem. Please let me know if you have had this same experience and fixes youve used, or if theres anything in the log that stands out. Thanks all!

So I replaced my Rail Pressure Sensor and my fuel trims are back to normal, and the codes are gone. Guess im one the lucky ones ($84 part).
Rough idle is still there, with a wierd "scratching noise" when I place a stethoscope on the VC/PCV valve. Also, during the loping of the engine, ill see the AFR jump from 14.7 to 15.6 for a split second, almost like one injector isnt spraying enough fuel, causing the AFR to dip for a split second. Happens every cycle of the crank.. odd |

However having said that i could see on MHD my sensor was bad because i was getting a negative fixed value for pressure. Like -55 which is a tale tale sign. But his values look good. Pressure is very good. |

Cars back to normal, ISTa killed my FRM and then the slow cranking started and ended with no start. Turned out to be the Starter. Its been a great month for my car. Oh, and drilling a hole in the rear seat bulkhead to reach the emerg handle since the accidentally disconnected the battery and closed the trunk.. great month, @104,000 miles lol

Reviving an old thread...
Did you ever find the definite cause? I have the same codes and stalling when coming to a stop. Replaced the hpfp and still has the issue. Smoke tested and found no leaks. Going to replace the maf next. any other suggestions? |
