How long do Rotors last you?
I am curious to see how long a set lasts everyone. Just list if they are OE or aftermarket.
I did EBC slotted about two years ago and only put about 8K on them and pretty sure they are warped. Now, I did run the 1/4 mile a few dozen times this year so I was stopping pretty fast but I would think I should get another year or two out of them. How about you guys?

That's a lot. You obviously drive almost HWY miles exclusively.
I'd say pads will last about 70,000 miles on average with a combination of city/ hwy driving leaning on hwy driving being the higher % of the two. As far as the rotors are concerned, I'd say maybe 130,000 miles perhaps. Idk. I don't like using rotors more than once cycle personally. |

Just developed a front end vibration at 87k miles. Front Pads look to be 70-80% worn. Just won some F series Brembos on eBay and will order new 340mm rotors and pads this week.

I bought a pristine 335i with 74000 miles. The rotors were pretty worn but still had decent braking and no pedal pulsation.
This car was one owner and driven carefully. You can tell. |

Warped rotors has to be one of the most incorrectly diagnosed problem in all of automotive history. I would try to re-bed your pads and report back (read up on uneven pad deposits). You could also have worn suspension bushings that create vibration while under load (ie when braking).

I replaced my stockers at 75k, they were pretty much done. I installed Brembo OEM replacements and Bosch pads and I just checked them last week and they still look new at 108k.
Also, the "warped rotors" blame is mostly a myth. It's improper lateral runout that usually causes issues not "warped rotors". Gotta check the runout. |
