first long crank...

took almost 6 seconds to crank it up this morning...is it time to take it in for hpfp or do you have to wait for a complete failure?

as long as u have a HPFP code. I had mine come up with two codes, but the codes were accompanied by 2 o2 sensor codes so I had to erase them and wait them to come up again to take it in! Mines failing big time tho!

Good Luck!

Most dealers will tell you that they cannot perform a replacement until there has been a failure. If it is taking 6 seconds for your car to turn over, im sure a complete failure is right around the corner.

Most likely tomorrow morning, you'll get the same long crank.. Cold starts always bring out the worst in these pumps. Keep your fingers crossed, maybe tomorrow you'll engage a full failure.

Same POS, there will be some randoms at some of the dealers that will tell you that there has been a new version of the hpfp's and this failure is a thing of the past.. I only wish that was true. Im on hpfp # 4.
