SMS Messaging and Bluetooth option

Going way back through time, the E38/E39 could have a BMW CPT8000 phone installed. Some version of this phone (e.g. Sprint) supported SMS messaging. On cars with the Navigation system, SMS messages could be displayed on the Navigation on board monitor.

On the E90 with iDrive and BMW Bluetooth, can SMS messages received by the phone be viewed and displayed on the on-board monitor?
