a/c problem after nav install?

Hi all, new to the forum here but been reading up for a while now.

I just installed a new pioneer nav headunit in my 08 328 and everything works perfectly except my a/c...

the lights and everything on the actual module work fine but no air blows. here's the really odd part, i took of the negative battery terminal then plugged it back on and then screwed with the a/c module like hitting auto and various buttons to see if i could get any response and it randomly started blowing air. worked for a few days then stopped again.

anyone know what could be happening?

I'd have said loose connections, no harm in checking them again. Making sure the plastic clips are slid back over the top.
