E91 Alpine retrofit code to HIFI

Hi

This topic is a never ending story, sorry about that. :-)

I have a 2010 E91 with OEM CIC business and base stereo.
I have retrofitted the Alpine retrofit kit with AMP, and swapped the subs with 7logic. - Sounds amazing.

However the EQ needs tweeking. The base is all the way down, for the sound to be OK, and it seams like the input is to high.

Well, I want to code HIFI to flatend out the EQ and lower the input voltage.

Can anyone confirm this coding.
1: Add $676 to the VO/FA, and write it to CAS and NFRM.
2: Code the CIC with SG_CODIEREN.

Have not yet done this, but am i missing something, or is this the way to go?
People in here is also talking about just changing the AUDIO_SYSTEM_CIC to HIFI in the CIC FSW_PSW file?

Why do one or the other and what is the difference?

Please help me clarify this, Thanks

I believe that you will have to code a bunch of different
nav/idrive submodules to get this to work and you will
need an ICOM cable to do it.

Depending on the kit there was some question about coding be
necessary . There are old threads on the stereo sub forum on this .
There is a large coding to Hi Fi thread here.

start at entry 13 for idrive in the above thread.

you do not need icom to code cic business (cic-mid) and cic-mid have smaller number of the modules

pt do you know the exact dates of cars that require the Icom
and is it just for Most modules and does it include the Head Unit
in all cases?

There doesn't seem to be a definite answer on this .
I thought it started with all cars after the 3/07 build.
