Refurbed alloys - gap in coverage is not normal?

Hi all,

First post after a few months of lurking,
recently had my alloys refurbed and powder coated.

Very pleased with the finish and colour apart from one thing, there appears to be a gap on the edge of the rim where you can see the base layer, near to where the it reads "50 psi" on the tyre.

I assume this isn't normal? Bit disappointed as the place came recommended from another forum.
