The easiest thing to do is reach down and adjust the rod on the rear turbo a couple of turns to make the rod shorter, and full close the waste gate (no rattle). On the front turbo, put a couple of washers on the bolts that hold the wastegate actuator to the bracket, moving the actuator toward the front of the car....pulling the arm away from the wastegate ..so it will full close (no rattle).
When I did that whole procedure on my stock turbos a few years ago.....it took about an hour, and got rid of all the rattle....100%. |

Idk, mine rattle like that bad too. But, for over a year and half no, I still hit peak boost 18.5psi. And I can easily hit 20-21+psi. I’ve done it before I depending what tune I run.

Iv recently noticed some waste gate rattle on mine.
Only happened in D mode, light throttle and slow /normal acceleration . I can only hear it with the windows down when driving next to something to reflect the sounds. Happens from 1900ish rpm's to 2300ish then it goes away. Heavier throttle or driving in Manual mode it does not happen at all. Only during those rpm at light throttle. I have replaced solenoids and vacuum lines. I wonder if it's the front or rear turbo doing this !?
