Entire screw was too wide. Not sure how it got in there but it sure scared me for a couple seconds. I thought the head was stripped because it wouldn't bite. First I've heard of it so I'm sure this isn't common, but doesn't hurt to double check.

I'm curious to see what happens here. Ebay page shows a 60-day return policy so you might be SOL. If seller is legit and eager to please you might get lucky (hope you do).

Seller responded within 24 hours and said they would send another. I received another message today asking for my phone number but no tracking as of yet.

Same seller sent me a replacement due to the first being cracked and missing PCV and PCV cover. The replacement had multiple cracked brackets and was also missing the PCV and PCV cover.

The seller has been very responsive, but I would recommend going another route.

I barely replaced mine. Also missing pcv valve. Noticed after install when the car was turned on and had a vacuum leak. Due to the others im debating wether or not to contact the vendor. I bought it several months ago.

Appreciate all the feedback we're getting on these fleabay parts.
Just goes to show once again that if something looks too good to be true, it usually is.

Want to share my info on this topic...

1 - smell oil when stopped and running, see some smoke now and then. 90k miles, 10 yrs old 335i twin turbo.
2- had a coil go, when I pulled it out it had oil in the spark plug well.
3- after some reading, determined the valve cover was leaking oil.
4 - bought VC gasket, replaced it (bear of a job) a week later still smoking.
5- read up some more found that the covers crack, bought a $100 Amazon cover (A-premium chinese) and gasket after seeing BMW wanted $500. Replaced vc with new gasket.
6- lasted about 4-6 months, I smell oil again at stops.
7- I'm going to try the URO parts VCover now. $240. Made in Taiwan, not China. Fingers crossed.
8 - side note also have a 2007 328i non-turbo and that engine does not usually crack the cover.
