Lowering problem with Eibach Pro Kit springs
Hello guys, I'm Maurizio from Italy. I follow E90post occasionally, where I often found help.
I have a problem with my car, a MY2009 E92 320d, and i hope to solve it soon... with your help I have upgraded my car with a Bilsten B12 suspension kit (Bilstein B8 shocks + Eibach Pro Kit springs) and after that my car seems not correctly lowered at the rear, about 2 cm higher, instead the front seems successfully lowered. My previous suspensions were the original BMW non-Msport. All E92 320d Msport that I see around are lower than my car, at the rear. I tryed searching on the web but I have not found anything similar to my trouble. Maybe not a proper fit? I'll upload some pics tomorrow. Thank for your help Sorry for my poor english.

perhaps the rears are not seated properly in the top hat? EPK springs should cause your car to have a raked look, but the rears should def sit lower than the stock suspension. Take the car back to the installer.

I brought the car to another installer last week.
He put the car on the bridge and removed the springs. Then he told me he didn't notice any mounting problem. I've seen some 6-cylinder E92 with the same suspension kit and are much lower, but usually 6-cylinder versions with Eibach Pro Kit are lower than 4-cyl versions. My fear is that: starting from a OEM comfort BMW suspension kit (not-Msport), some components (such as a rubber or something else) is different and cause a not correct lower as a native E92 Msport suspension kit. I hope that I explained in an understandable way Ty

How long have your springs been installed? Did you double check the part numbers to make sure you did not recieve the springs for the e90 instead? It's happened before. |

The rubber spring seats are the same among all the models, so that is not likely to be the problem.

can you take a picture of the rear spring mounts with the wheel off, so we can see the range of adjustment? usually, the adjuster on the rear works the opposite way than the front (you have to move the adjuster UP to lower the car).

Tomorrow I leave for vacation, but when I come back, I will try to take some pictures without the rear wheel.

for some reason, I was thinking of the bilstein coilovers when I read bilstein B8 shocks.. If you have only the lowering springs and the shocks, then you don't have adjustments.
however, if for some reason you got a set of springs for an E93 (convertible) then those would make your car higher in the rear. |

lol
Yes, I know, because the E93 has more weight to the rear. I already checked the serial numbers and they are correct, and for this i'm going crazy, because all seems well done.
