V2 installation support on weekends

Hi,

I know that Vishnu provides limited support on weekends ( they have to step back sometimes from their business to relax and recharge the batteries to continue to do their great job ) so I wanted to let you know that I check the forum regulary and I will also provide support to you on weekends as good as possible. Of course, for free.

Please do me a favour and disconnect the car's battery before you begin. Also make sure you have the bypass plugs.

My timezone is GMT +1.

Thank you.

Very nice offer Eugen.

I might take you up on it when I get the v2 upgrade.

Thanks!

I'm curious about why the battery disconnect is required. I've uninstalled and reinstalled my V1.XX more than a dozen times and never needed to do this.

EDIT: Very kind of you to offer your services, btw

If you have comfort access it takes only tiny mistakes and you unplug and plug the ECU having the ignition on. This throws a couple of basicly wrong errors where some of them can really be hard to get rid of.

When I initially installed my PROcede V1 I ran into these problems with the result that I could not drive the car and a BMW service car had to clear my ECU errors to solve the problem.

So the battery disconnect is most likely why Shiv didn't explicitly mention CA owners keeping their key fobs away this time around (v2)...

It isn't only keeping apart the fob. An open door could cause ignition on and the car won't show you it's like that.

So, to perform the installation straight forward, please disconnect your car's battery first.

No, no ...

We are talking about V2 install. Please ask a dealership in advance or use some other source to know how to disconnect the battery in your car.

If I would have to cover every surrounding detail, we will end up in nothing. Thank you for understanding.

Eugen, I'm trying to change the washer on my shower tap. Do I turn the spanner clockwise or counter-clockwise to open it?

It's a service for weekends.

I know, a lot of you upgrade on weekends. Therefore I will support installations on weekends for a limited time so that you can get V2 as soon as possible.

It's free for you and it's free for Vishnu. Please prepare yourself as good as you can when you plan to perform weekend installations.

Do you just disconnect the +/- cables from the battery to disconnect the battery? Or is there more to it than that?

Reason why I asked is because my AA Xede is coming soon, and I will probably be disconnecting my battery before install also............
