It's a Thailand tranny scam.

Always look for the Adam's apple.

Greek knows about this too well.

I have asked them to show me the differences in the maps (graphs, etc.). We'll see what they come back with.

Si-335d - do you think there is any chance the difference you noticed in your car is just an adaptation reset?

Before I purchased it I asked if it was an adaption reset tool and they said No. The way the torque convertor locks up is so different to how it has ever driven or any other auto I have driven it has to be something more than an adaption reset for that alone. Speed of actual gear change I would expect to be no different on an adaption reset but mine is quicker now too, as it paddle delay shorter.

Cool. If the torque converter lockup is the only thing that changes it will be worth the money for me. Drives me crazy. I'm going to do an adaptive reset today and see what that changes before pulling the trigger.

I just got mine and flashed it. Did a short test run and can see it locks up quicker. And when driving in the city, it shifts quicker to a lower gear. So...something is definitely changed. Let's see over the next few days....

I've reset my adaptations in the past and it didn't do much tbh I changed my gb oil at the same time was bloody expensive, if I had a gb reflash I'd definitely change the oil, it's known to scorch and isn't long life oil as bmw state even zhf say this, your also pushing the gb harder too.

Any more progress reports or proof that this is an adaptation reset? I'm still on the fence with this one.

After driving a new 328 with the 7-speed ZF box I really would love to get the TC to lock earlier in my 330d with the older 6-speed box. It feels like the driveline is made out of rubberbands unless I go change D to DS.

Even just getting someone to produce a D mode with DS functionality and D rev limits would be enough for me.

It works still and diff locking is awesome. No elastic anymore

They'll come when the "tester" over here has time to do some logging. He hasn't got around to it yet but plans to soon.....He just got set up with Test-O so at least we'll have solid data when it happens.

I can say one thing though, he's not at all impressed with it. Certainly not feeling the results spoken about in this thread...

I am surprised, as I am really pleased with mine. The car drives differently and better for sure. I had a PM from someone else who's got it and they are pleased with it too

Well, i Can say I feel the difference.
Especially from a standstill and DSC off. When I floor it it just pulls a lot better than before.
It wasn't bad before but with much more slip in the converter from a standstill.

Whatever you guys feel or measure, I'm happy with the flash and will keep it

I ordered the JFA gearbox remap and flashed mine a couple days ago. I won't say it's life-changing, but it is definitely a noticeable improvement, specifically in torque converter lockup behavior, and especially at part-throttle. It has fixed the one thing that drove me nuts about this car, and for that it was totally worth the GBP 440 (~USD 685). Gear changes are noticeably but not drastically quicker, and mashing the throttle when cruising results in a noticeably quicker downshift. Overall the car feels more poised to accelerate quickly from wherever I'm at, and the torque converter is much, MUCH less annoying at part-throttle (YAY!). It was worth the money for me, and I'll be keeping it.

So are the D or DS modes usable with a hard throttle from a stop without jerking?
