Took the whole day and a few trips to the auto store, but got it done.
Definitely a PITA due to the cramped space in the whole engine bay. I was lucky to be able to tuck it behind the air box. Looks pretty stealthy. I will be able to measure the oil in the can with the dipstick. Dipstick is accessible without removing the top cover.

The biggest problem I had was finding the right fittings.

The routing of the inlet hose should not cause any pooling.

Thanks to the Pioneers of the catch can install on the 335D, I had the motivation to do it.

Let's see how it goes over time.

that area gets VERY hot being right next to the turbos....

Its not next to the turbos.
Keep in mind the intake siencer is right there, so it pulls air from there under vacuum.

How do you have the can fastened down in there?

Next to the turbos should keep the whole system from freezing up.. On a 12v dodge the heater lines run directly over top of the exhaust manifold and that's just regular heater hose with steel tubing (Which I've run egts of 1750 F multiple times a day)..the BMW has heat shields and such mounted over all that turbo mess.. Nice install!

Tight indeed, lol.
It held by friction, the can diameter fit just right, no vibrations or movement.
If I'm correct, your can is in a similar location.

Thanks. That's what I was thinking, little bit heat would be good in the winter.
I'll upgrade the lines next week to steel braided 10-AN.

Niceee!! You can remove that tube on the intake box by the way. Should make access a bit easier. keep an eye on the tubing as well. Even though its next to the silencer it gets pretty warm down there. My can on the other side burns after a long drive lol.

I dont think those rubber hoses are going to last long. As you can see in the last picture of the first post, the heat coming between the turbo and the heatshield has already melted a little dent on the airbox cover...

That crack is like a torch on a hot day when you are driving "in a spirited way"

Good observation. Have to visually take a look and see; don't remember there being any damage to the air box from heat.

As I mentioned, upgrading to steel braided hoses next week. This is temporary.

I noticed that because I have the same dent exactly in the same spot

Its caused by the heat from the turbos... Maybe you could wrap some heat reflection tape to those new hoses on that critical spot

Out of curiosity what hoses are you using? Trying to find a solution to pooling for my setup, also where did you get them.

I am running 5/8" heater hoses. However, I will be swapping out the hoses next week to nylon braided AN-10 hoses (5/8"). They will be must more durable and resistance to heat.

For your pooling, you basically have to route the hoses so all the oil flows to the can (decline). Where my catch can is, it flows at a decline to the catch can.

I saw your setup, you will get a little bit pooling, and it may not be an issue since the hoses are large enough, and eventually will flow to the can.

Yea I drained the system before putting it back in. Only a few drops sit in the elbow. Im going to find either another elbow or a larger hose to set it to a decline. Thanks for the info ill be searching around now. Also the BMS can is should have 5/8 inch OD for the inlet/ outlet. Hence why 3/4 fits so easily around it.

I switched over to these elbows last night. I want to say, they are a perfect fit. It was very tight to get them on, requires no clamps at the input and output.

So far everything is holding up well.

Only place I found them was from Advanced Auto Parts, and they had to special order it for me. Took about 4 days to get.

So far they are hold up great, no issues.

Just redid my setup again for a third time. Squeezed the 3/4 over the top connector no more pooling! I hope
