Custom Matte Black Vinyl on AW E90

My boss is a triathlete and does custom vinyl wraps for high end bicycles. He asked me if he could give it a shot on my car and I think it turned out pretty well. Matte black 3M vinyl. What do you guys think? Do the Roof? SharkFin? Trunk? Put the front plate on a tow hook mount? Back on the front? Stay in the window? lol Makes my lame ass car look a lot better in my opinion.

I would have him do the rest of the hood and front bumper, all the quarter panels, the roof, the fin, the doors, the rear bumper, and the trunk.

EDIT: And the mirrors as well.

+2, please don't leave that like that, or leave the garage like that.

On second thought: leave it as be, then promptly request a raise for inappropriate treatment of an employee.

Joking aside, I've never been a fan of designs or partial vinyl wraps. But if you enjoy it then

Listen I don't mind honest feedback. If it looks like shit I want to know, not drive around looking like a douche which is why I asked for your inputs. Its gonna be hard for me to tell him if it sucks though because naturally he thinks it looks great...but at least I have this thread to back me up if I have to give him the bad news haha. He only told me that I had to pay him just $50 for the material which is more then fair however if I have to go full matte black I'm sure that $50 will go way up...or I can just tell him that I want to take it off...or quit my job

I think the workmanship and the quality of the work is satisfactory, however leaving it as is definitely doesn't bode well for my tastes.

Either roof wrap only or wrap the entire vehicle. As is currently, it just doesn't look good. Besides the location of the wrap, mixing matte with non-matte rarely comes out the way you want it. So if you want to opt for the roof wrap, try a gloss one.

Yeah that looks like shit, definitely too much rice look there. Nobody partially wraps a BMW. The quality of installation looks legit, but no partial wraps please

Ooh this is awkward because he's your boss but that looks awful like that. Maybe tell him to wrap the whole car and he likely won't want to so then tell him it looks unfinished and just remove it.

Exactly! Its a tough spot now I should have thought it out more before I had him do it knowing that if it turned out like shit it would be nearly impossible to tell him. Naturally he would like it regardless. It actually had a bubble this morning when I went out for breakfast so I might just use that as my ticket to take it off when I go back on Monday. The more I look at it the more I keep thinking along the lines of something Scion tC people would do. Sigh. Yeah removal on Monday for sure. Thanks everyone for your input.
