I have take ultra care on the road which sort of ruins the experience but the stance is worth it.
Don't have too many problems scraping on stuff. I actually raised when the KW3s went on so scrapes even less now

Just wondering if it’s worth swapping the 5” FMIC for a 7.5” intercooler? Is anyone running one and did you find it made much real world difference?

A stepped 7.5” core will be beneficial vs a 5” core.

Hey Socket,

the IAT suppression of ANY of the 5" stepped coolers versus the 7.5" Race is night and day. On stock turbos boosted beyond their efficiency range the 7.5" Race will see IAT's drop during a 4th gear dyno pull and that's with limited airflow through the core of the cooler, no 5" cooler will do that.

I am running a VRSF 7.5" Race IC. You can see in the data log of my 11.05s run how the IAT drops during the middle of the run and rises at the end.

On that run, it would have been around 15C (60F).

Mods 2018

Regular readers will be aware of the dramas we had in 2017 with smoking PS2s and the ST install

That was 2017, this years project will be the auto to manual conversion, port injection and E85 tune

While the engine is out, we will take the opportunity to improve the 7670 positioning in the engine bay by replacing the manifold, dump pipe and pipeworks

New exhaust manifold arrived, sporting a black ceramic coating and a name plate

Looks nice... now hopefully it fits

@ socket

Mate those xenon coupe headlights you were after, got a good one for you.

I have a pair of xenon from an m3 with broken tabs on both sides top and bottom.

That won't matter at all for you as you can swap the insides out with yours. Dirt cheap $500 for the pair,
Usually 750 each, text me man and il get them put aside for you as il be away for 6 weeks.
