Hi all,

Over the last three days I have been getting two fault messages on the screen

a) Picture of car on lift with "Engine Start Fault!" with the instruction to open and close drivers door.remove and insert remote control from ignition lock.

This works but is a worry.

b) A common symptom of this site,
Car on lift with "vehicle battery" Increased battery discharge while stationary.Electrical consumers have been switched off. reset date and time if necessary.

Both a) and b) accompanied by the inevitable message to visit the bmw garage.

The battery cannot be flat as have just come back from 24 hours Le Mans (722 km non stop) have also disengaged any equipment that maybe taking current from the battery like an ipod.

a) is my biggest concern so if anyone can give any insights as to what might be causing this I'd really appreciate it.
