Well, Concoction night disappointment.
Tonight was going be "Chinese night" but the better half did not feel good so in bed early. Great, early Concoction night... Grab the Alfredo Noddle and head for the stand-up freezer for the last piece of Brothers Pepperoni. Couldn't find it, went to the chess freezer and back to the stand-up freezer for a second look but no luck. So I did a KD with Cherry Tomato, was good but I my brain was set on the Alfredo Concoction. Stop the press, as I'm typing this, I just remembered bringing the last 2 pieces upstair for the last Concoction. Sure enough, I just check the fridge freezer and their was the last piece I could not find earlier    The end. |

Was going to make lazy man's Shepards pie (layer of potatoes, sautéed onions, Hamburg, layer of corn).. but the potatoes were a bit "old", so rice to the rescue... somewhere under there is rice..

Keep the mixture thick then add some or all of the saved water until you get a nice texture. Add grounded peppercorn to taste. No need for salt as the water has extracted it during the parboiling. Salad with grilled Chaldean flatbread. Salad included tomato, onion, Kalamata olives, pepperoncini and lots of parmesan! EVOO, freshly squeezed lemon juice and S&P.
Fresh cherries for dessert, then homemade strawberry ice cream for an evening treat! |
