Mine was just done at the dealer - £30 + £10 labour. Not bad imho

The dreaded RED service indicator has come on for a Micro Filter change.
I will go the DIY route and replace it myself. Anyone know where I can order a genuine BMW Micro Filter for a E92 335d? Also has anyone used the step by step resetting guide on a E92 335d? If yes, has it worked? Thanks

I have just replaced my micro filter and reset the service light myself.
The micro filter part itself cost me £18 from KMS parts who are located in Birmingham. The part is exactly the same as OEM except that it does not have the BMW packaging on it. Instead it is made by Mann who incidentally make the OEM micro filter for BMW. Its exactly the same. Make sure you get the carbon activated filter. The box even comes with instructions on how to fit it to my BMW. Its unbelievably simple. |

eBay has completely dried up regards OEM E92 335d Micro/Pollen Filters…
Any other ideas as to where to get OEM Micro/Pollen Filters? Thanks

Micro Filter? It's more commonly known as a pollen filter - filters the incoming air into the cabin space. Carbon impregnated ones help to neutralise smells too.

To anyone looking for OEM quality filters - any decent motor factor who stocks MANN filters will be fine - as MANN are OEM suppliers to BMW.
Plus they'll no doubt be cheaper!

carbon or pollen?
Looking to todo this and wondered if I get pollen or carcoal filter as per:
http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/BM...Pollen-Filters realoem doesn't really help me. I can just unbolt my cover and have a look at the part no. if its on it. Could just look at the colour of it!! Thanks |

Sorry for posting on an old thread but this should be a sticky somewhere. Just did this total cost £24 from ebay and 18 mins start to finish including service indicator reset. Dead easy! cant believe garages are charging £90 for this. Joke.

Resetting service light for micro filter with nav unit
Can anyone tell me if it is the same way to reset the service light from the eg. Provided on one one of the threads by inputting key and hold down the OD and reset it from there. But does it matter if I have an I drive system and the info is on the screen will it reset after replacing the micro filter?
