LED numbeplate lights

Anyone tried these on a pre LCI Halogen?

http://www.ssdd-motorsport.com/show_...hp?prod_id=570

Looking to buy them as a direct replacement. Sorry if this has been done to death recently but even after searching the forum I couldn't find a definitive answer. There was a guy from America PYspeed I think offering them for around £40 but can get them cheaper from SSDD and wanted to see if anyone else had fitted them?

Cheers!

Beats me why anyone would want to illuminate their number plate anymore than required

Because I have a cool numberplate and like to show off?

Or Because the clean white light looks much better than a dull halogen?

Rob don't blast 40 quid on a set mate. I have recently fitted the error free ones from eBay. A few guys have fitted them on here they were discussed in a thread fairly recently. They were about 12 quid delivered and work a treat!

Found the other thread and read that the ebay ones seem to get too hot. Can you confirm? What would be the effect of them overheating other than them breaking?! Don't want to look in my mirror to see my rear end on fire!

They've been in for a few weeks now bud and no problems at all. They take 2 minutes to change and ma boot is still covered in snow so they can't be that hot!!

As I said above, my april 2008 (pre-LCI) e92 has led number plate lights and door lights as standard. Perhaps it's just the e92 they are standard on, pre-LCI.
