Original battery life???

Going on 9-years on the original battery! Is this unheard of? Occasionally get the CC-ID-415 code, but no issues at this point. Should I just replace battery now before running into trouble? What is the suggested replacement battery?

I just replaced mine last week, car is an 2008, 335xi.

The original battery in mine lasted 8 years, 118k miles. Almost 4.5 years on my current one, 156k on the car.

The last one was a group 49 wet cell; went group 49 AGM on this one. I coded for the AGM and reset adaptions when I swapped it. I'm happy for a $135 name brand battery!

2011 328i x-drive

Original battery just tested at 420CCA, so we went ahead and replaced it. Went with the Interstate MTP-49/H8 lead-acid.

Mine also lasted 9 years. No reason to replace till you start having issues. Go to Advance auto or similar and get their free test.
