I know a few people have bought loaners, but most stay away from them. People usually beat the crap out of these cars. If the windshield was replaced, something else may have happened to it. Good luck!

You didn't provide enough information about the "328i". Is it an E90, E91, E92, or E93? Also, paying cash isn't always the best payment method. Sometimes it's smarter to take the low APR financing (and pay off the loan one or two months later) in order to take advantage of any BMW rebates and/or incentives.

thanks for your input. i've read on this forum many times that people don't like loaners. maybe it'd be better to get a cpo with more mileage than to get a loaner?

unfortunately right now there aren't any rebates/incentives on this e90. the last holiday credit ended 1/3.

i'll try to continue being patient in my search for a good cpo deal, but car hunting surely is a huge pain.

Just my .2 as far as buying a loaner goes. I just bought one 2 months ago...09 e92 with 15K on it. The car is CPO'd and looks and runs like new. I took it to my independent shop and they checked it out. Said it was a great car and noticed no problems I was very hesitant to purchase a loaner, but finding a car that's a year old, low mileage, and CPO in the color and model that I was looking for was too hard to pass up. Buying used is a crap shoot no matter what...just be sure to do your due diligence and go with your gut.

it sounds good. i'm going to keep looking for as long as i can.

right now though i am considering a new order... it'll be about $43k otd. has nav, zsp, zvp, heated seats, power seats, xenon, steptronic, paddles, bluetooth, and harmon kardon.

patience... trying to get the same w/an executive cpo at 33k. don't know if/when this exists!

do dealer incentives like the past holiday credit of $1500 apply to cpo's as well? if so, it might be the spring drive event that i'll have to wait to purchase.

All of the loaners that I've been put in have been beaten by previous users. I would be patient as everyone says.

The incentives are available on CPO's as far as I know. They usually apply to certain years and models, but CPO shouldn't exclude incentives.

Some people do beat loaners. Just don't get one that's been beaten on lol. Take it to your mechanic for a PPI...with CPO you're covered anyway if something major happens. I'm sure lease returns get beaten too...all they are is an extended rental.
