Since selling my bimmer I barely come on here but that's a real shame Chappers, you have my support GLWS! I'll check in with any friends to see if they're in the market for one. What you going for next?

Thanks mate, much appreciated

We need something we can put the dog in the back of & F31 40is are to expensive for a dog carrier so just a inexpensive interim estate that's comfortable & reasonably entertaining until the 40i prices come down a year or so & that costs a bit less than I can sell the 35i for

EBC yellowstuff pads all round - £200
Motul RBF600 3L - £70
To fit above plus engine oil service - £275
Discs all round, fitted - £380
If I include the reason for all the above:
MSV trackday - £210
Trackday insurance - £145
One tank of fuel - £70

A £200 track day doesn't end up being £200 , though definitely am not regretting it.

My 335i hasn't cost me a penny for the last 10 weeks because its been sat at the dealers! They can't seem to fix the issue where it goes into limp mode upon hard acceleration. The issue has even been raised as far as germany!

They still have it
My dealer also had difficulty diagnosing limp mode under hard acceleration after them replacing exhaust pressure converters & boost pressure pipe work without fixing the issue I was then told it was the turbos that needed replacing. I didn't agree with that diagnosis & made them replace the clamps from charge air manifold to turbos which sorted my issue. It's an inexpensive fix to try

I take it you've had no more DCT overheats?
If you still have you 35i next time it needs pads or discs they are very easy to do yourself, first time I did mine I downloaded a YouTube tutorial

Yes a track day can be expensive
I took my e34 M5 to one back in the day & two days later I had to put a replacement gearbox in it. I never found out if it was coincidence or due to the track day

Nope its been totally fine, and ive put it through its paces in very warm weather.

I think it was mainly due to the fact I had a small leak and had lost oil and the fact I was in normal drive mode on the gearbox.

Yeah ive done discs and pads on all my cars before, I just really couldn't be arsed at the time.

Yeah you need to go into 335i ownership being aware that you'll need to spend money on it

A lot will depend on how its previously been maintained but even when well looked after they can still go expensively wrong.

I've had mine for 5 years & done 50000 miles in it & it has been pretty good.

Well as with any car round 10 year old I'm expecting some spending but wow to some of these figures, saying that a lot of you seem to be missing like crazy....
I plan on a oil/filter change very soon along with a walnut blast so that will be another 4-450.... hope this walnut blast stuff is worth it

Differing opinions some have had it done & say they've noticed an improvement others not so. Mines on 104.5k & hasn't had a walnut blast & is running fine, would it run better if it had one

About 2-2.5K maybe a little more this month. Rebuilt/upgraded turbos, silicone inlets, silicone outlets, intercooler, down pipes, and oil pan gasket/hw plus coolant, oil, install kit, etc. Still need to do motor mounts as I saw how horrible they were but that'll be next month probably.

Also did walnut blast but did it myself with brushes/cleaners.

Yeah I'm expecting little but for £300 I'll do it anyway... no issues as such, but I might MHD the car... Just as a precaution I'd like her in top top condition.
I dare say I think I have the start of wastegate rattle... possibly the oil loss/burning could be turbo related too so I'm expecting money to be spent very soon

I had the turbos changed last year so they should be fine. In the 13 weeks they've now had it they've done the following:

All plugs
All coils
All injectors
HPFP
Walnut blast
Replaced Torque Convertor
Checked fuel lines
Checked fuel sensor
Checked and reset gearbox adaptations
Tried another set of wheels

After all that, the problem is still there and I'm no closer to getting the old girl back!

My N54 135i has already cost me £300 for a re-con'd DSC pump (5 yr warranty thankfully), and will be costing me £600 next month for waste gate rebuilds.

It has however also put the biggest smile on my face a car has ever done lol

62xxx currently.

From what I understand it has had the water-pump done.

The waste-gates aren't terrible, they only rattle on the over run with no throttle but enough to annoy me into having them rebuilt.
